Description
This U.S Government lesson is perfect to give your students a quick overview of the layout of the U.S. Constitution.
Essential Questions addressed: What is the purpose of each section/article in the Constitution? How many articles are there? What are the Bill of Rights? etc. I use this lesson to introduce the document BEFORE I dig deeper into each individual section.
In this lesson your students will:
1) Take notes on their graphic organizer OR CLOZE NOTES (teacher choice) while the FULL COLOR power-point is being displayed.
2) Watch a short public access video to reinforce their understanding of the layout of the Constitution.
3) Use a mnemonic "silly sentence" to help them remember each section/article of the Constitution.
4) Includes a 20 min video activity that discusses how the Constitution was created- Guided Video worksheet included
