Description
This activity is a perfect complement to a lecture on the decisions made at the end of WWII and/or how the Cold War began.
In this activity, students read excerpts from the Marshall Plan speech given in 1947 and answer comprehension questions about the document to guide their understanding. Students will then examine some statistics on the realities of the Marshall Plan and answer comprehension questions about these statistics to guide their understanding. Lastly, students will complete an EXIT CARD activity in which they analyze political cartoons related to the Marshall Plan.
**This would be a great classwork activity for students to do independently or in pairs, or could be sent home for homework** INCLUDES Answer Key!
