Designed for grades 3-6, Generosity: A Character-Building Unit Study helps students explore the theme of generosity through Proverbs 11:25 and the story of the widow's offering in Mark 12:41-44. Students will discover how the widow honored God by giving all she had, and why Yeshua said her small gift was greater than the large offerings of the wealthy. Students will:

• Define generosity from a biblical perspective and explain Proverbs 11:25 in their own words.

  Discover how generosity is measured by the motivation of the heart behind the gift rather than the amount given.
• Learn about giving in the Jerusalem Temple and the purpose of the Temple offering chests.
• Strengthen Bible literacy through Scripture-based reading, discussion, and review activities.
• Develop reading comprehension, critical thinking, vocabulary, writing, and communication skills.
• Apply biblical generosity through practical ways to bless others.
