Description
These are 375+ focus questions, thinking prompts, essential questions, objectives, guiding questions, review questions, writing prompts, even test or essay questions that you can use for all of U.S. History (American History). They would work as part of your objectives or lesson plans. Some are specific to a person/event/law/trend/belief/etc, others are more generalized and open-ended. Some have students make connections between time periods. The last page has questions that would be good at the end of the year for students to discuss overarching continuity and change, cause and effect, to think more deeply about certain themes, and more!
The questions are divided according to unit for your convenience:
--Exploration, Colonization, Revolutionary War
--Articles of Confederation and Constitution
--Washington/Adams/Jefferson, War of 1812
--Era of Good Feelings and the Market Revolution/Transportation Revolution
--Jacksonian Democracy and the Antebellum Era
--Manifest Destiny/Westward Expansion
--Road to the Civil War, Civil War, Reconstruction
--Gilded Age, Imperialism, Progressive Era
--WW1, Roaring 20s, Great Depression/New Deal
--WW2 and the Cold War
--Overarching US History Themes
(each topic has a different amount of questions, ranging from 7-35)
