Description
Are you looking for a US History timeline activity? This is always a favorite of my 8th grade students to review for Social Studies STAAR. In this US History timeline activity there are 7 "mini-timelines" in this product (8 events each) that students (in small groups) race to put in order. Students really have to critically think, since sometimes the events are not related! For example, in one timeline you might find a battle, a court case and an important document.
After students compete to finish the timelines the fastest, you can extend this into a whole class HUGE time and challenge them to put all of them in order!
What is included:
-2 sizes of timelines (Small and large - you choose)
-7 mini-timelines (8 events each timeline) = 56 piece total
-Each timeline has a different border, for easy use. I suggest you print off each mini-timeline with a different color of paper if you can.
-Instructions for the class competition and for a large class timeline if you choose to "challenge" your students further = optional.
-Key for all timelines
This is a print it out, cut it out and go activity for you. If you can laminate it, it will last longer.
