Description

‘US Imperialism: Using Primary and Secondary Materials ‘ include 24 PPT slides that make up a series of worksheets on US Imperialism. They are in PowerPoint format to give the teacher more options on how to present them-class as a whole-group –individual. They were designed as group or partner work, to be worked on a day or two before assessment. It was not expected for each group to do all worksheets. After groups were decided on, ( I chose the groups), then each group received specific worksheets, based on ability and formative assessments before the group work day. These were developed as "Differentiated Instruction” , they could be used as individual assignments, or even online work. You could even project these in front of the entire class, and use each worksheet as a full class discussion.
There are also extra assessment questions covering each worksheet topics that can be used on a test, quiz or as review. You can easily copy the questions on to a couple slides and print them out as a full test or quiz. Also, there are 8 question review slides that are for review( or preview) for the entire class.
These have been used in class for years, and it works very well.
