Description
Students will learn about different myths and facts about Vikings by watching an almost 6 minute video, answering 27 questions, and completing a creative task. The answers are included where appropriate and the video is from TedEd.
Sample questions include:
--What does the word Viking likely mean, or refer to?
--Does the archaeological discovery in Estonia support or counter the answer to number 4, and why?
--About how long did the Viking Age last?
--What was unique about Viking ships at the time?
--Identify an example of how Viking trade connections were widespread.
--Was the image of Vikings wearing horned helmets a myth or fact and how do we know?
--Why are we limited in knowing how Vikings understood themselves?
