Description
I designed these sets of dominoes to be used for review of common vocabulary as well as DOK 1 concepts that my students need to know connected to NGSS DCI MS-PS-2-1 and MS-PS-2-2 to grapple with the higher DOK level questions and tasks found on my unit assessments and performance tasks. Domino deck 1 is vocabulary and deck 2 is on identifying Newton’s Three Laws of Motion from over 25 different examples. All review and practice games can be done collaboratively or as stations.

For Collaborative Groups
I make sets for each group of 3-4 students and I have all the groups work on the domino game at the same time while I observe and ask questions. In this setting the groups are challenged to see who can finish the domino loop the fastest..
For Stations
I have a set of dominoes made for each station. I’ve also included a vocabulary recording sheet that students can fill in as the complete the domino challenge. There are two versions of the vocabulary sheet, one with the terms and the definitions already filled in that I use for students with IEP or ELL modifications
