There are three different activity options, each based on two resources

Resource #1 – Information Chart summarizing 4 theories of Harappan decline (467 words)
Resource #2 – Reading passages on 4 theories of Harappan decline (980 words total, roughly 250 words for each theory)

Activity Option 1- Comprehension Questions

12 Questions on the different theories of Harappan decline. Students can use the chart or readings for assistance. Questions are mainly comprehension questions, with a few analysis questions towards the end.

Activity Option 2: Analyze the Evidence Activity

Students are given 5 archeological findings and must explain what this evidence shows about how the Harappan civilization declined

Activity Option 3: Order of Events Activity

Students are given numerous events that led to the decline of Harappa. These events are scrambled, and students are asked to place them in the order they think makes sense. Using their order of events, they are asked to explain how they believe the Harappan Civilization collapsed.
