What is the History of the Hamburger?

I'm sure you don't lay awake at night asking yourself, "What is the history of the Hamburger?" ...you probably think you KNOW the history. I sure did! My research lead to some surprising discoveries along the way.

Learning about the history of the hamburger helps students understand that it’s really hard to determine the “first” when it comes to invention and innovation. Often  when things are invented, the concepts are built upon and the history of the hamburger makes that abundantly clear.
