In this 27 page lesson on the Industrial Revolution in England, students will be confronted with essential questions on the impact of the I.R. in England, the specific essential questions addressed are:
Essential Questions addressed: How did the Industrial Revolution transform England and other countries of the world? What social, economic, and environmental changes occurred as a result?
Task:
Students will use historical evidence/clues (excerpts from primary sources, photographs, charts, graphs etc.) to answer the essential questions. There are 29 SHORT “clues” included and comprehension questions to guide student understanding of each clue. While working with the “clues (primary source excerpts)” provided, your students will build their knowledge on the topic until they are able to draw conclusions and address the essential questions. Two CREATIVE Assessment activities are also included. (Use them both or only the one that works for your class)
