In this 4 page Middle Ages activity, students will read several primary source excerpts that will give them a deeper insight into the Black Death (Bubonic plague) in 14th century Europe. This is a great introductory lesson to use before a lecture on the Black Death or as a follow-up homework assignment.
In this activity, students will:
1) Read primary source excerpts from survivors and witnesses of the Black Death.
2) Answer critical thinking questions provided either orally or on paper (teacher choice)
3) Complete an EXIT CARD/ASSESSMENT activity in which students describe the Black Death using evidence from the primary sources provided from a unique perspective. CREATIVE ACTIVITY!
