What are the ingredients for a revolution? Through this creative collection of materials, students will learn about the causes behind the French Revolution through a thoroughly constructed series of mini-lessons. They will be presented with the ingredients [1 large population dedicated to becoming free, a ratio of weaponry, 1 Charismatic/effective leader, and so on] and eventually present a full recipe of the revolution itself (final writing assessment). Each ingredient is presented through an engaging activity i.e. create a face book page of Robespierre or analyze an etching depicting the beheading of King Louis XVI....etc. There are primary documents to analyze, a political cartoons, all included in a zip folder of student activity sheets. The main lessons are presented with teacher notes *included within the Power Point itself as well as hyperlinks to video files and audio clips. Look at the preview of the Power Point. All together there are 13 files included.
