Description
Writing with FRAMEs The Elementary Edition: The Bundle
The writing FRAMEs in this bundle are designed to help emerging writers in the elementary grade levels learn how to write a variety of essays using a scaffold FRAME-work. They are based on the Strategic Instructional Method (SIM) FRAME concept, originally reworked as writing templates for first drafts for my 7th and 8th grade students; however, imagine my surprise when my then 7 year old, 2nd grade, granddaughter was using one for her assignment! She was struggling, but successful! So, I rewrote the internal instructions, added writing lines and pages, and taught her about citing her work!
Each of the FRAMEs has 7 pages or more, and come with teacher notes for implementation. Currently, the bundle includes the FRAMEs for Informational Essays, Personal Narratives and Memoirs, Persuasive Essays, and Argument Analysis FRAMEs!
These FRAMEs are aligned to the following Standards:
Newly adopted TEKS: Strands 3, 6 and 7, 110.4, 110.5, 110.6, 110.7 Inclusive for all levels.
4.7B, C, D, E, F, G
Aligned to CCSS: ELA.Literacy.W.4.1, 4.2
Please Note that on this cover, ELA in Middle School uses a frame from Charlotte’s Clips and a school boy from Melonheadz!
