Yellow Journalism Project

This project on Yellow Journalism encourages students to write (using word, google slides or a poster) about one of 8 events that happened during the Spanish American War. Students will pretend to be a pro-american newspaper writing about an event that happened during that time period. It is similar to a persuasive essay except students get to use more of their creativity to create the project. I have a more advanced version for high school students and a simplified version that I used with my middle school students. I have included a sample presentation and websites that students can use to find information on their topics.
