2D and 3D shape - SNAP! 88 cards including images, descriptions, nets and names

We have developed this game of Snap! for 2D and 3D shapes to further support the children's knowledge of 2D and 3D shape.

The game consists of 88 cards - 44 question cards and 44 answer cards.

Questions consist of 2D and 3D shape images, nets of 3D shapes and descriptions of 2D and 3D shapes. Answers are the names of 2D and 3D shapes to match the images, nets and descriptions.

The question and answer cards are different colours:

Red for questions

Blue for answers.

This game is ideal for 3rd, 4th and 5th grade children (Y4, Y5 and Y6 UK). Working in pairs, the cards are cut up and sorted into two piles, question cards and answer cards.

Player one lays down a question card. Player two lays an answer card. If the two match, the first player to shout Snap! wins the cards. The first player to win all 88 cards is the winner. As the game continues, the cards will get jumbled, this adds to the game play as the children are trying to win all of the cards.

Included within the cards a blank templates for you to add further questions of any shape information which your children may require further support on.

Once downloaded and prepared, these cards can also be used for the following activities:

• Flash cards for the whole class or groups of children
• Simplified Loop Game
• Maths Center Activity
