Description
This file is jam packed with 34 Self-Grading Assessments for Google Classroom over the United States! Assessments include, multiple choice and fill in the blank questions. The file also comes with maps of the United States with capitals and abbreviations that you can print for your students to reference each day.
Google Classroom and Google Forms has made teaching so much easier for me! This file contains 34 different map quizzes for your students to use. The students will complete all 50 states, capitals, and abbreviations over 5 weeks if they do one assessment each day. There are also variations in the FINAL assessment you can give them (states only, abbreviations only, capitals and states, fill in the blank capitals and states). PLUS, if you need to edit something within Google Forms you can do it!
The assessments are made using Google Forms and are meant to be shared with your students in Google Classroom or in their Google Drive. Once you share it, your students can take the assessment and you can immediately see their results.
Once you download the file, you will be prompted to copy these assessments into your own Google Drive folder, which you can then share with students.
Once students complete each assessment you can:
1. see their grade along with what questions they missed
2. import their grade into Google Classroom
This is completely editable, so if you would like to add questions or delete any questions that are included, you can easily do this.
How I use them:
Every day when my students come into class they complete one of these map quizzes.
Ex: #1-1 . The next day they will complete #1-2 and so on. On Friday they will complete #1-5.
I have used these in a number of different ways.
If I just want the students to know the states only, I will give them the quiz with just the states on it each day for 4 straight days and then take the quiz over them on Friday. For my middle schoolers, I really want them to know the capitals, states, and be introduced to the abbreviations of the states so I focus on those throughout the week.
No matter how you choose to implement them into your classroom, the best part is that Google Classroom GRADES IT FOR YOU! As soon as the students are done with Bell Work, I import the grades into my Google Classroom and I am done! It lets me track how well they are doing each day as well.
