Description
Students will read and analyze excerpts from Ben Franklin's Albany Plan of Union by responding to 14 questions and creative tasks. The answers are included where appropriate and this would be great for a sub! The historical spelling and grammar has been preserved for authenticity.
Sample questions include:
--What purpose would the Grand Council serve?
--Inferring from prior knowledge, why was there a need to “handle” Native American affairs?
--How would the Union approach taxes? Do you think it was a good idea, why or why not?
--If the plan were to be enacted, do you think the Union would be able to stand up for a colony choosing to separate, why or why not?
--Which part(s) of the text do you think colonies would have most and least supported and why?
