Description

Welcome! This fill-in-the-blank lesson reinforces anatomical position terms between bones for students taking human anatomy and physiology. I provided a word bank at the top of the page that covers the meaning of the following anatomical position terms - superior, inferior, central, peripheral, proximal, distal, anterior/ventral, posterior/dorsal, medial, and lateral.

There are twenty-seven questions in this activity. Students will examine the relative position between two of the following bones or organs - inner ear bones, radius, upper humerus, carpals, facial bones, tibia, coxal (hip bone), fibula, sternum, heart, occipital bone, coccyx, Haversian canal, anterior fontanelle, temporal bone, ulna, clavicle, phalanges, cranium, sacrum, femur, xyphoid process, thoracic cage (ribs), mandible, blood vessels, posterior fontanelle, zygomatic bone, bone marrow, epiphysis bone segment, metacarpals, foramen magnum, maxilla, parietal bone, nasal passage, thoracic vertebrae, sphenoid bone, compact bone, diaphysis, patella, scapula, humerus, zygomatic bone, maxillary sinus, frontal bone, occipital bone, and lumbar vertebrae.

This PDF file will  become editable upon conversion to Microsoft Word using an Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Program. It includes a key with the answers in red font.
