Ancient Egyptian Mummification Primary Source Analysis

Students will read and analyze a passage on ancient Egyptian mummies by answering 10 questions on the text and 2 questions regarding customs across time. The activity concludes with 3 creative tasks. This would be great for a sub! The answers are included where appropriate. 

Sample questions and tasks include:
--Explain the purpose of mummification.
--Using context clues, what does "interred" mean? 
--Discuss why there is a difference in what we see in Egyptian tombs today and what was initially sealed in the tombs when the body was finally laid to rest.
--List 3 differences between the Royal and the Deluxe Treatments. How does the Bargain Treatment compare? 
--List and describe 3 booby traps and 1 curse you would set up for tomb robbers to protect yourself and your belongings.
