Description

This scheme will introduce drawing, painting, printing, clay, textiles and 3D form to the children in 1st grade(US) / Year 2 (UK)

These lessons will provide your children with the skills in Art and Design to prepare them for later years.

The 6 areas are drawing, painting, printing, clay, textiles and 3D Form. Each section has an overall aim of what the children will be able to achieve by the end of the unit. It is then split into a series of lessons, each with its' own aim for that session. It could be a research focus, an experience focus, using materials, planning, doing or evaluating leading to improvement.

Every unit links to an artists, craftsperson or culture, providing the children with a wealth of experiences of the arts world. It also includes handy hints for the teachers to support their own teaching skills ahead of developing the unit with their own class. Together with a progress of resources list, Health and Safety Statement and the aims of the curriculum, this resources will provide everything you need to teach Art and Design to your children.

The preview demonstrates the detail of the planning and the presentation to support teachers getting the most from their teaching of Art. Skills build year on year and with a resource sheet, getting the right equipment and teaching these skills has never been easier

Worth more than the cost but not a full curriculum

I was intrigued by what it advertised the bundle to be. The information for each unit fits on one page, it does not include visual samples or anything step by step. Even though I felt a little underwhelmed at the thoroughness, I still think it's excellent value for the low price, it helps me see a logical progression I can use for my units!
