Beowulf Unit

Designed to follow the Anglo Saxons unit available on this site, students will be guided through the reading of Beowulf, focusing on evidence based analyses of literature. Students will be asked to analyze the differences in culture and themes between the literature and the hollywood movie, Beowulf.

Students, in a summative assessment, utilize all knowledge and evidence from both texts to write a comparative essay. All materials to guide students through activities and learning via powerpoint as well as handouts and readings are included in both editable and PDF formats.

This unit should take a few weeks of class time, depending on pacing. Units come in a zip file that will need to be extracted after download. All computers come with extraction programs.
