Description
Do your human anatomy and physiology students struggle to remember how blood and nitrogenous waste flow through a nephron? Mine do annually. It takes rounds of practice sequencing the respective pathways. This activity offers that trial-and-error experience they need before taking the unit exam on the urinary system!
Activity features:
- Two-themed grids with passageway terms for cut-out and sorting with student directions
- The anatomical cards are reusable for student practice
- A set of answer keys
- Complements the unit study guide packet and test series I published
This PDF file will become editable upon conversion to Microsoft Word using an Adobe Acrobat DC Reader app. Students will need a textbook or supplementary resource to check the accuracy of their layouts the first time.
Morphological terms on the cut-out cards include – ascending limb, loop of Henle, calyx, renal artery, inferior vena cava, glomerulus, venules, Bowman's capsule, descending limb, larger veins, distal convoluted tube, collecting duct, smaller arteries, ureter, smaller arterioles, peritubular cap, proximal convoluted tube, efferent arterioles, and renal vein.
I appreciate your interest. I have over twenty-five years of teaching and curriculum writing experience to complement over twenty years of publishing experience.
