Case 6: Women of the Viet Cong Shadow of a Shark Podcast Lesson

This worksheet and PowerPoint Presentation are to supplement the podcast History Detective. Case 6: Shadow of a Shark, explores the little known story of the Vietnamese women who fought for the Viet Cong focusing on the Perfume River Squad and Hanoi Hannah. These resources could be used a unit on the Vietnam War to showcase an alternate perspective. Students will build vocabulary, analyse sources, engage with the historical concepts of perspective, implicit and explicit, motive, audience and context.
