Description
Students analyze 14 documents, answer 14 historical context questions, complete a sorting chart, and write a DBQ essay to review the causes of, or road to, WW2 (WWII). There are 10 essay prompts for students to choose from (one allows for the class or teacher to make one of their own). The answers are included where appropriate and the initial analysis part would be great for a sub! ***Some of the sourcing is generalized so that students have to place it in the historical context/event themselves.***
Sample questions include:
--Explain the historical context of Document 2 and identify its point of view.
--Which event is Document 4 referring to and how does it connect to the causes of WW2?
--Identify the specific action taken by Germany in Document 5, and explain how it is a bridge between the two world wars.
--Identify the law/policy/declaration Document 8 is an excerpt from. What was its purpose?
--Does Document 9 support or oppose Lend-Lease and why?
--Summarize a key cause and effect of Document 12.
