Description

Daily Warm-Ups AP Art History Unit 1 - Prehistoric Art, Ancient Near East, and Ancient Egyptian Art

Students need as much exam practice as they can get, so why not incorporate it as a daily routine in your class lessons? These daily review warm-ups are intended to be completed within 1-2 minutes. There are three different types of warm-up activities: 1. Multiple-choice questions (all questions are written in the AP Art History exam style), 2. Attribution questions, and 3. Visual analysis/unknown attributions (the images selected are beyond the 250 and are frequently used by the College Board in multiple-choice and free-response questions). Additionally, the questions align with the AP Art History Course and Exam Description (CED), focusing on the art historical thinking skills of compare and contrast and continuity and change over time. Students have a quiz tracking sheet to keep track of their answers.

This resource is intended for use as a formative assessment. I encourage you to ask students what they believe the answers are before revealing them to the class and walking through why the correct answer is right.

There are a total of 16 days of warm-up activities for you to use in your class. If you are using my Unit 1 curriculum, this will provide you with one extra day of warm-up questions to give to your class. These warm-ups can also be used to help review for the May exam. Please review the artworks on each slide to ensure you have covered them in class before quizzing students over them.
