Distance Learning: 5-days of Activities Featuring Badlands National Park

Note: Students must have computer/internet access to use this product.

Students can complete this five day activity at their own pace. Each activity is designed to take between 10-20 minutes.

Everything students need to complete each activity is already loaded on the slide. Simply upload to Google Classroom, email to students, or use a different platform and you're ready to go. Also includes answer keys!

Day 1: Students begin looking at phenomenon within Badlands National Park to develop driving questions. 

Day 2: Explore the formation of sedimentary rocks, including constructive/destructive forces.

Day 3: Analyze precipitation and wind speed data to identify patterns and predict the month most likely to contribute the greatest amount of weathering.

Day 4: Discover how fossils are formed at Badlands National Park.

Day 5: Research an extinct animal of which the fossils were found at Badlands National Park
