Escape From Mr. Lemoncello's Library: Escape Room

Escape From Mr. Lemoncello’s Library: Escape Room is an excellent addition to any study of this novel. Everything is ready to photocopy and use. Like the characters in this novel, your students will experience the satisfaction of solving puzzles in a fun, competitive way. This product includes four stages.

Stage 1: Students will figure out a message by identifying the first letter of different US states. Students will see the shape of the state and then cross-reference it with a US map.

Stage 2: Students will alphabetize names of different Nintendo characters and then read their quotes. When they put the first letter of each quote together, it will form a message.

Stage 3: Students will look at picture puzzles that suggest nine different numbers. The numbers are part of a magic square.

Stage 4: Using clues from the previous two puzzles, students will have to locate words within specific references in the novel. The words will reveal the final message.

This product also includes three posters that will serve as clues for the escape room. Set them up strategically around your classroom. Also, make sure your students have access to Escape From Mr. Lemoncello’s Library (at least one per group).
