FAIRY TALE WRITING UNIT: FROM IDEA TO PUBLICATION

This is a two-week unit plan for writing a fairy tale.

It is broken into eight parts and includes developing character, setting, plot to developing a story.

The unit takes you through the elements of a fairy tale to be included in writing, as well as explains the process of organizing, drafting, writing, revising, editing to publication.

It includes some videos on writing a fairy tale and elements of a fairy tale. This unit is broken down into small sections of work to be done to make the writing process successful.

Slides can be used as a presentation and graphic organizers can be printed or typed into. It also includes a letter-writing activity as a culmination to their favorite Disney character. This plan can be used for grades 2-5 with adaptations.
