Description

NONFICTION and FICTION choice boards!

.These resources/activities can be used paper pencil or digitally on Google with a choice board.
.Students can choose a menu item to answer to for the book they are reading
.These can be used during independent reading to show understanding of the text, periodically throughout a novel you are reading to a class, for Daily 5 or Reader’s workshop stations, for early finishers and much more!
.If you go paper pencil with it-print out the menu for all students to have and then have abundance of copies of each resource for students to grab (OR you can give the students all of the copies straight out in a Reading Restaurant Menu Binder.
.Keep extra copies of the rubrics as well for each project.
.In order to turn it in they need to staple or paper clip their project to correct rubric and turn it in.
.If students are completing online they will have a digital choice board to use that will direct them to the activity and rubric so when they turn it into the teacher its all together!
.Give each student the menu so they can cross off ones they have already done as they need to do all of them at some point.
.These can be kept to show understanding of standards for data binders, conferences to show parents student work, standard based learning/reporting.
.You can either have the students complete ALL of them in a period of time or have them choose one appetizer, one main dish and one dessert to do for the whole “project:”.
.There is a rubric that is the same that you will use for ALL of the projects to make it less confused and easier on the grader.
