Description
In this unit on good nutrition for 2nd and 3rd graders, students will learn the importance of making healthy food choices to fuel their bodies. Through fun, hands-on activities, such as creating balanced meal plans, exploring food groups, and discussing the benefits of fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, students will gain an understanding of how different foods help their bodies grow strong and stay healthy. The unit will also include read-alouds, interactive games, and simple cooking projects to reinforce the concepts of portion sizes and nutritious snacks. By the end, students will be able to identify healthy foods and understand the basics of building a balanced diet.
