Geography: Is Our Government System Fair?—Intro to Government Systems

Need an exciting and fun introductory lesson to introduce world government systems? This 60-minute lesson will get your students motivated and engaged in the learning process. They won't even realize they are learning with the fun Fortune Teller game.

Includes an Introductory video, review, discussion, memory/comprehension game, and suggesting wrap-up writing assignment.

Note: this lesson is a first-day introductory lesson that will allow students to begin to understand how government systems around the world work. This lesson will not go in-depth of how the U.S. democracy or other governments works. In looking at the definitions of how various government work around the world (along with a video to elaborate and a game to reinforce the definition of each government) students will decide whether the U.S. government system is a fair system.

This lesson is designed for middle school students, but could be engaging for older students as well.
