Description
Students will read and analyze the military start of World War 1 (WWI) when Germany invaded Belgium, violated its neutrality, and marched towards France to begin the Schlieffen Plan by answering 15 questions (one is about a political cartoon). The answers are included and this would be great for a sub!
Sample questions include:
--Why do you think the Belgians decided not to defend Brussels?
--How did the Schlieffen Plan lead to Britain declaring war against Germany?
--Describe the atmosphere when "the change came." Is it what you would have expected from people who's country had just been invaded? Why or why not?
--From whom do we get this account could there be any bias in it, why or why not?
--How did Davis’ boredom transform into wonder?
