ORGAN-ments: A Creative Anatomy & Physiology Craftivity
Looking for a fun and engaging way to bring anatomy and physiology to life in your classroom?
ORGAN-ments is the perfect craftivity for health science or anatomy students to explore the structure and function of human organs while tapping into their creativity!
Ideal for grades 9-12, this project works well as an individual activity or small group collaboration. Use it to reinforce anatomy content, encourage artistic expression, and add a festive flair to your classroom! Display your students’ "ORGAN-ments" to decorate your space and showcase their learning.
In this hands-on project, students will:
✅ Choose a human organ to represent.
✅ Create a festive ornament that accurately resembles their chosen organ.
✅ Label at least four distinct anatomical parts of the organ.
✅ Write a brief description explaining the organ’s function and its role in the body system.
Aligned with key anatomy standards (1.1 Human Anatomy and Physiology), this project promotes critical thinking, creativity, and an appreciation for the human body while engaging students in hands-on learning.
