Description
Created by Lori (Curriculum) Sheets. With this Power Point, students will engage in multiple opportunities to learn about child labor and its impact on history.
This Power Point presentation begins with a single question and proceeds to present a series of timed primary source photographs that depict real children and a description of the work they were required to do. The photographs are both informative and moving.
Students will engage in small group discussions, text-based reading assignments, individual writing responses.
Lastly, they will be asked to inquire what life was really like for children during the Industrial Revolution and then decide what was the WORST JOB in History by reflecting on actual job descriptions.
A final task will ask students to present and vote for the "Worst Job in History".
