Description

This product is a Google form and doc linked to an interactive map on the key battles of World War I.

World War I was a turning point in American—and world—history. In the spring of 1918, Germany launched a series of offensives that drove the Allies to their knees. But then large numbers of the American Expeditionary Force (AEF) began arriving in Europe.

Students can answer the 7 questions on the form while exploring the interactive map. Then, students will answer the 3 short answer questions on the doc. This activity has worked very well in pairs using two devices. Students can explore together and discuss as they explore the map. This product is an excellent enrichment activity.

Students will learn about:

  • Battle of Belleau Wood
  • Second Battle of Marne
  • Battle of Soissions
  • Second Battle of the Somme
  • Battle of Saint-Mihiel
  • Battle of the Argonne Forest

This product is editable. Questions and option orders are shuffled.
