Introduction to Chemistry - Controlling Chemical Reactions Crossword Puzzle

This listing features two versions of a one-page crossword puzzle about the factors that affect the rate of a chemical reaction. One version includes a word bank for differentiation purposes while the other does not. I assign this activity in the introductory chemistry unit of my eighth-grade physical science class. High school chemistry teachers could also utilize this crossword and the others in the series for a remedial review to kick off their year.

The eight terms the clues cover are – exothermic (reaction), activation energy, inhibitor, concentration, temperature, catalyst, surface area, and endothermic (reaction).

I added a non-grid answer sheet on a third page.
