Joan of Arc YouTube Teaching Resources

This resource is designed to go with the FREE History Detective YouTube episode on Joan of Arc.

The video explores the story of Joan of Arc a teenage peasant who was convicted of heresy and burned at the stake. It also encourages the students to analyse transcripts from Joan of Arc's trial.

The resource can be used both in classroom lessons and online teaching. The resource goes through some pre-listening vocabulary, includes listening comprehension questions, before looking at the historical concept of usefulness and source analysis activities.

The worksheet has reflection questions and lyrical analysis of the song Go Down Fighting which was written exclusively for the topic, and an activity for further research.
