Description
This is an approximate 60-80 minute lesson plan to help students learn about daily life during the Renaissance period.
The purpose of this lesson is for students to have real world examples to help them build their knowledge of King Henry VIII. This lesson uses Kagan strategies, whole group and small group work to help students analyze the following questions: What are the duties of the supreme head of the church? What is the difference between King Henry and Martin Luther’s motives for church reformation? What impact did humanism have?
As with many of my lessons, I integrate Common Core Standards, DOK instruction, differentiation for SPED/ELL/Gifted, and supplemental materials that can easily be adjusted to fit your classroom needs.
