Motor Mouth is a game that allows students to quiz each other about the historical knowledge presented within the classroom by using student-friendly language and clues based on what they have learned. While similar to Taboo, it does not include a list of banned words. It's student-centered and allows the teacher to facilitate the learning and to properly check for understanding. This Motor Mouth set represents the Civil War and Reconstruction Eras. Specific instructions that includes how to time students and how to use this activity whole class or in groups are also included. I have created duplicates of the six cards included. That way, you can complete the activity in station rotations or by dividing the class into groups to help with paper usage. There are 12 task cards in all. These are TEKS-aligned.
