The Mummification Process:
The main goal of this lesson is to have students explain and describe the steps in, and various tools used in the Mummification process of Egypt:

For the Activities there are 4 different options focused around 2 different resources
- Resource 1 – 715-word Reading on the Mummification Process
- Resource 2 – 307-word chart outlining the steps of the Mummification process.
Activity 1 – Students use resources 1 or 2 to complete the “Order the Steps worksheet.” Here they put the steps of mummification in the correct order by numbering them from 1-10.
Activity 2 – Using the reading (Resource 1) Students complete the graphic organizer where they make a title for and describe each step of the mummification process.
Activity 3 - Using resources 1 or 2 provided, identify which steps each item would be needed in and explain how they would be used on the worksheet/organizer provided
Activity 4 – Using resources 1 or 2 students complete “Mummification Process Worksheet” where they are asked to select some tools needed for each step and asked various questions about the mummification process.
