Description
Do your students need more practice classifying the forms of energy? Mine do every year. I annually assign this full-page activity in my eighth grade physical science class. This lesson is the second of a two-part published series. Students will classify twenty-six examples as nuclear, chemical, kinetic, thermal, light, radiant, sound (sonic), gravitational potential, elastic potential, or electrical energy. I included two student versions of the worksheet. One has an extra table with a brief profile of each energy class as a modification for students who may need it.
This PDF file will become editable upon conversion to Microsoft Word using an Adobe Acrobat Reader DC app. I included a key with the answers in red font.
This lesson correlates with my other publications about energy and work for physical science.
