Description

Students will read an account about George Washington crossing the Delaware during the American Revolution and answer 11 questions. They will then pick another battle from the war and write a similar account of it (balancing historical responsibility and creativity--instructions included). The answers are included where appropriate and this is great for a sub!

Sample questions include:
--Why was Dec 1776 a desperate time for the patriots?

--How were these battles a turning point in the Revolution?
--Why might Elisha take the time to note the appearance of the Hessians?
--Define endeavoring.
--When Elisha's service was requested to be extended by George Washington, what was his thought process about whether to stay or go home?
