Description

Students will read an account of the Bolsheviks storming the Winter Palace in 1917 during the Russian Revolution and answer 11 questions.  The answers are included and this would be great for a sub! 

Sample questions include:
--Explain the meaning of the phrase: preying on people’s anti-Tsarist sentiments.
--What were Lenin's goals in coming back to Russia?
--Why do you think the looting stopped when someone said it was the property of the People?
--Is "revolutionary discipline" an oxymoron? Why or why not?
--Summarize John's experience starting with “we didn't notice a change in the attitude of the soldiers and the Red Guards around us." You should write at least 5 sentences.
