Description
Is psychology a science? Why is the scientific method so important?
This mini-lesson will guide students through the basic organization of the scientific method. By the end, students should be able to organize and justify the sequence of the method, as well as discuss insightfully what happens if things change in the method.
The lesson includes concepts, essential questions, learning targets, and an agenda. The doodle notes align with a direct instruction powerpoint, all connected by a central metaphor to help the students remember the information. (Examples from psychology about the Clever Hans study). Finally, there are discussion questions for them to talk about to tie the method into psychology's function and purpose.
