Description

Welcome! This two-page review sheet complements my other published review lessons about the solar system to help middle school science students prepare for my published unit exam about the solar system. Students conducting this activity will complete the following tasks.

  • Make surface and atmospheric comparisons between the terrestrial planets and the Jovian planets (gas giants)
  • Rank the terrestrial plants by atmospheric density and temperature
  • Compare and contrast the sun surface features (prominence, sunspot, and solar flare)
  • Compare and distinguish the galactic objects by filling in a flow chart and answering short answer questions (comets, asteroids, meteoroids, meteors, and meteorites)
  • Complete a paragraph about Newton's Law of Inertia in a fill-in-the-blank section

I provided a two-page key with the answers in bold, red font. I also included a word bank for the two fill-in-the-blank parts.

This review sheet complements the following activities in my store.

  • Planet Match Activity
  • Solar System Unit Test
  • Planets of our Solar System Crossword Puzzle Set
  • Introduction to the Sun and Solar System Crossword Puzzle Set
  • Dialing Up a Better Understanding of the Sun Activity

This PDF file will become editable upon conversion to Microsoft Word using an Adobe Acrobat Reader DC program.
