Description

Students will Choose a case study subject for Nation Building After World War II: Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Chile, Mexico, Egypt, Iran, Arab-Isaeli relations, Pakistan, Indonesia, Poland. 

Presenters Must:

  • Prepare an 8-minute presentation with a visual (NOT JUST SLIDES OF TEXT DRYLY)

  • Teach the material provided in the textbook and provide an end of presentation assessment or task.

  • Bring one outside resource, or illustration that enhances the lesson (video, timeline, mini-bio, example in a story, etc)

  • Answer these questions: 

    • How has this emerging nation resulted in shifting power?

    • What responses have there been to the initial events? (Or How did events progress?)

    • How successful has this emerging nation been in reaching political stability, economic growth, and Democracy?

Audience Must:

  • Keep a graphic organizer with notes from each presentation (can be used on daily quizzes)

  • Take daily quizzes, using notes taken during presentations.

You will get a score out of 16 for your presentation, and a quiz grade for each day of presentations.

A Rubric is included to score presenters and a feedback form for keeping notes from presenters.
