Description
Students role-play being CELL ORGANELLES and perform life functions. The interactive role-playing experience gives students a hands on, in person approach to cell structures and functions. A vital teaching tool and style for in depth cellular understanding.
A high interest, fun, hands on lab experience for students ranging from 6th-12th grade. Use as either an introduction or a review of the concept.
The experience has built in ENL and special education modifications to allow all learners access to the curriculum (developed with a co-teacher). The experience has been tested and implemented with well over 100 students to ensure quality.
Role-Playing materials provided along with a student worksheet.
Questions at the end of the lesson asses understanding.
Additional supplies needed: KNEX or LEGOs are helpful
