The Marshall Plan Primary Source Analysis

Students will read about America's role in helping Europe rebuild and recover after World War 2 (WWII, WW2) as per the Marshall Plan and answer 14 questions. There are also 3 extension tasks for students to choose from. The reading is two pages, an answer key is included, and this would work for a sub!

Sample questions include: 
--Why was it difficult for the average American to understand the problem facing the world?
--Explain the role Nazis had in making the aspect of of recovery from question 3 more difficult.
--What is identified as the basis of modern civilization and why?
--Why is it so “logical” that it must be the United States to provide all this support to Europe?
--Under what circumstances would a country not receive American aid?
