This lesson focuses on the natural and spiritual worlds in prehistoric art, covering the form, function, content, and context of the Apollo 11 Stones, the Camelid Sacrum in the Shape of a Canine, the Beaker with Ibex Motifs, the Ambum Stone, and the Terra Cotta Fragment. This lesson is likely the first you will teach students covering the AP Art History 250 content. Therefore, this lesson includes discussion questions that introduce students to the art historical thinking skills of compare and contrast, as well as continuity and change over time.
